Novartis is recalling 2.3 million Theraflu and Triaminic cough syrups because the safety caps do not function properly. There was one incident of a child ingesting medicine because the safety cap failed.
The recall involves 24 types of Triaminic and Theraflu Warming Relief cough syrups. The recalled medicine was sold between May 2010 and December 2011. Check the full product list of lot numbers to see if your product was affected by this recall; the lot number is located on the left side of the bottle label and on the bottom of the box.
